Tech Tip Tuesday: Top advantages of proximity sensor-equipped stabilization legs

Power-Packer’s hydraulic stabilization legs are now available with proximity sensor capabilities. Why are proximity sensors important? Adding this capability means:

  1. Increasing stabilization system longevity and decreasing costly downtime. Stabilization legs can be damaged during on-highway travel if they’re not retracted.
  2. Enhancing safety. Proximity sensors can be used in conjunction with an in-cab display to indicate when stabilization legs are retracted and the equipment can safely move to the next work site.
  3. Improving efficiency. Deploy equipment faster and trust that the hydraulic stabilization legs are fully retracted with integrated proximity sensors.
  4. Adding extra protection. Proximity sensors also have an IP68 rating, which means they have a high degree of protection from chemicals, dust and water.
